I am an a Yoga (RYT 200) Instructor and a Les Mills Body Combat Instructor. Fitness has always been a part of my life, but it hasn’t always been my focus until about 2 years ago when I quit my full time IT job.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana I married, had two children and became a Software Engineer. We moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1998 where a friend introduced me to yoga. I enjoyed it and the exercise, but I didn’t fall in love with it until 2009 when we were living in Columbus, Ohio. We had moved and were living there only one year when the economy took a turn for the worse and my husband opted to leave his job before looking for another. It was yoga that helped me to keep my life together. The power that this practice had simply amazed me and I began to have a deep respect for it and a yearn to learn more about it.
It is my deepest desire and it brings me most happiness to help each person find a little more peace, sleep a little more soundly, and in turn find a little more happiness.
In 2018, I finally had an opportunity to quit my full time IT job and attend Samyoga Institute’s 200 hour certified yoga training program in Columbus, Ohio to study this amazing form of exercise. Along my journey I had met so many stressed people and I would turn them on to yoga, but I was never able to help them myself. Now, having earned my RYT 200 certification I feel so very blessed to share this knowledge directly and help others the way others had helped me.
