Yoga East Ooltewah Studio Owner, Rachelle Pecovsky, has a passion for health & fitness, especially yoga, and loves to share it with others! Rachelle holds a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Exercise and Sports Science. As a collegiate athlete she earned All-American honors in Track & Field, and a National Ranking in Gymnastics on Balance Beam. Soon after, she began an 11-year career in Women’s Tackle Football, winning national championships with her Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Teams, and garnering MVP honors in the 2006 National Championship Game. Yoga found Rachelle near the end of her football career, and once she retired, the transition to a certified Yoga Instructor made perfect sense.

Rachelle believes that there is a yoga practice for every BODY. With her fun, creative, challenging, empowering, encouraging teaching style on and off the mat, Rachelle will invite you to explore the rewarding journey of becoming deeply acquainted with yourself and unlocking your full potential as you fully appreciate your own beauty and connect to self: mind, body & spirit.

Along the way, Rachelle spent nearly a decade in the natural health industry, as an educator and sales rep, receiving and presenting trainings to top-rated companies in the industry. Her passion for a healthy lifestyle includes continued research on high quality real food, supplements, vitamins and clean body care products.

Off the mat, you can find Rachelle traveling with her husband, Jaime, an international violinist. Together they have a passion for connecting with people, and sharing God’s love through their ministry.
